Road Trip

After spending most of Saturday driving we finally arrived in Kalmar. After checking into the hostel we walked into the city to find entertainment and something to eat. This picture of Kalmar at night was taken on the way. In the town center we found a cute little Italien restaurant where I enjoyed a pizza with tuna, capers, and onions. (I know it sounds weird but it was actually quite delicious) After dinner we visted the little bar upstairs where we stayed the remainder of the evening and watched as the restaurant turned into a club.

Kalmar by day...the weather was nice but there were absolutely no people to be found! Not a single coffee house or bakery was open, so we opted for the next best thing, breakfast picnic on the old city wall overlooking the harbor. These pictures are from the Kalmar Slott (castle), the first scenic stop of the day.
